Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Europe is approaching its end by “opening a front against Muslims.” The speech of the head of state in the city of Kayseri was broadcast on his Twitter account.
Commenting on the operation of the FRG law enforcement agencies in the Mevlana mosque in Berlin, Erdogan noted that such “attacks on the rights of Muslims” indicate the transition of “European fascism” to a new stage. “If they (the countries of Europe) do not get rid of it as quickly as possible, then such a disease will destroy Europe from the inside,” he said.
Earlier, the Turkish leader criticized his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron for demonstrating inappropriate treatment of millions of Canadian citizens who profess a different religion. Having unleashed an angry tirade on the head of state, Erdogan advised him to treat mental disorders.
According to the Daily Sabah, German law enforcement officers broke into and ransacked the Mevlana Mosque in Berlin on October 21 as part of an investigation into subsidy fraud. At the time of the raid, those gathered in the building were performing the morning prayer. About 150 officers in masks and boots walked over prayer rugs and confiscated 7,000 euros, several electronic media, computers and files. The incident angered the Muslim community and attracted the attention of the Turkish authorities. The mosque denied suspicions and stressed that the scandal could have been avoided if the authorities had asked the questions of interest directly.
