The test for COVID-19 was positive.
Turkish President Recep TayyipErdogan on Saturday, February 5, announced that he was ill with COVID-19. So far, he feels good.
“Today, the test result for COVID-19, made after mild symptoms, turned out to be positive,” he wrote on Twitter.
The Turkish leader noted that he will continue to work remotely.
Recall that Erdogan was on an official visit to Ukraine the day before.
During talks with President Vladimir Zelensky, he announced the possibility of becoming an intermediary between Ukraine and Russia amid rising tensions over the collection of Russian troops to the Ukrainian border. In this regard, Erdogan invited Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky to Ankara for a dialogue and has already come to Kiev himself to meet with the Ukrainian leadership.
