Two environmental activists in the UK sprayed orange powder on part of the prehistoric monument Stonehenge.
About this BBC reports.
The incident occurred the day before the start of the Midsummer Day celebrations near the 5,000-year-old landmark near the city of Salisbury in Wiltshire.
Wiltshire Police confirmed the arrest of two Just Stop Oil climate campaigners on suspicion of damaging the ancient monument.
Just Stop Oil said the orange powder was corn flour, which would later “wash away in the rain.”
It is noted that the activists thus demanded that the UK government stop extracting and burning oil, gas and coal by 2030.
Part of Stonehenge is to be fixed in orange wool colour in defenders.
