A certain group of modders has been “moving” the Half-Life 2 world to blocky Minecraft for 5 years. The project is called “City-17 [Grand Project]”. It is noted that the group set a goal not only to create the entire game in Minecraft, but also to make it an open world. This means that unlike HL2 itself, this version will lack loading screens between areas, making it a vast, albeit less quality, reimagining of the classic Valve game.
