England cancels press conference over Eriksen emergency

by alex

After the tragic incident involving the Danish national soccer player Christian Eriksen, England canceled its press conference before the start of the European Championship at short notice. The English Association (FA) asked for it, UEFA announced on Saturday. Originally, team boss Gareth Southgate and captain Harry Kane should have talked about Sunday's game against Croatia in London. “Our thoughts are with Christian Eriksen and his family,” said an FA statement.

The Inter Milan player collapsed during the European Championship match against Finland on Saturday and then remained motionless. Life-saving measures were then initiated for the 29-year-old. Paramedics were seen giving him a heart muscle massage. The 29-year-old was then conscious again and was admitted to a hospital.
