Some time ago, the Californian company NDB presented the concept of a battery, the service life of which, according to the developers, will be at least 28 thousand years. They explained that the source of energy in it will be nuclear waste, that is, the nanobattery will be powered by radioactive isotopes that are used in nuclear reactors.
At their presentation, they also assured her of her safety. The energy source in the battery is protected by synthetic diamonds, which are arranged around in several rows. Everyone knows that diamond is one of the hardest and most durable materials, which will not be easy to damage or break.
If you believe the characteristics, then this battery can be used to power gadgets or equipment of absolutely any size.
At the moment, there is no information yet about when and in what form the nanodiamond battery will enter the market. However, developers at NDB claim that work is already underway to create the first commercial prototype of the battery.
