Endoscopist spoke about scars in the bronchi in people who have undergone coronavirus
Scars in the bronchi were found in 25% of patients at the Lipetsk Oncological Dispensary who had recovered from COVID-19. Natalya Kukushkina, an endoscopist of this medical institution, spoke about this at the For life forum of oncology and radiotherapy.
“In more than 50% of the examined patients, only pale mucosa was detected, scars were found in almost 25% of patients, and microangiopathy was found in almost 15%,” the doctor said.
According to her, two types of scars were found in people: thin, whitish and fibrous. At the same time, the patients did not previously suffer from any other diseases that could affect the appearance of such changes.
Earlier it was reported that over the past day in Russia, 21,379 new cases of coronavirus were recorded. They were registered in 85 regions of the country. Among the leaders in terms of the number of infected were Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg.
