American rapper Marshall Mathers III, better known as Eminem, opened Mom's Spaghetti restaurant in downtown Detroit. It is reported by the local newspaper The Detroit News.
It is noted that the name of the institution refers to the line about the nausea attack before the rap battle from the song of the hip-hop artist Lose Yourself.
According to the newspaper, several hours before the opening of the restaurant, a large line of Eminem fans lined up. When the establishment started working, the hip-hop artist himself came out to the order window. He personally served the first visitors. His appearance came as a surprise to the fans, as the promotion was not mentioned in advance.
The restaurant's menu includes three types of pasta: “Mom's Spaghetti”, “Mom's Spaghetti with Meatballs” and “Spaghetti Sandwich”. Chef Mom's Spaghetti said that for the dishes they did not want to prepare an exquisite sauce, but to recreate “the taste of the sauce like from a can.” A musician's paraphernalia trailer has also opened near the diner, selling T-shirts, sweatshirts, vinyl albums and cassettes.
