SpaceX has partnered with a Canadian startup to launch a digital billboard into orbit.
The new CubeSat satellite will have a large screen on one side. People will be able to place their logos and advertisements on it. The startup's authors believe that giants such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi will fight each other for the opportunity to advertise on a satellite.
The process of buying ad space on CubeSat is a bit tricky. Anyone who wants to participate in it will have to offer the highest bid. Then the participant who is the most generous will be selected. In general, it all looks like an auction.
The authors of the project hope that people will not spend money on something inappropriate or offensive. The advertiser will also need to buy tokens to define the parameters of their ad. The Gamma token determines the brightness of the display, Beta – the X coordinate, Rhoe – the Y axis. The Xi token will determine the time at which the advertisement will be displayed. All this can be bought for cryptocurrency.
