Billionaire Elon Musk announced the creation of the America Party on July 5. His X subscribers voted for the idea the day before.
Musk said that this would “bring back freedom” to Americans. This was reported by 24 Kanal, citing Elon Musk's post on the social network X.
Musk Founds Third Party in US
On July 4, Independence Day, Musk launched a poll on his page asking “Should we create an America Party?” On July 5, he summed up the poll and announced the creation of his party .
Today, the America Party was created to give you back your freedom, Elon Musk said.
Musk believes that the Democratic and Republican parties in the United States are essentially the same thing. That is, he calls the United States a country with a one-party system, like China.
“When it comes to our country going bankrupt due to waste and bribery, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy,” the billionaire noted.
He later also wrote a post in response to the ad, saying that “the responses to this ad are comedy gold.”
In Musk's poll, 65.4% of participants expressed support for the initiative to create a new party in the United States. The poll involved 1.25 billion users . Apparently, it wasn't just US citizens who voted, of which there are only about 340 million.
