At the same time, during the heating season, the cost of 1 kW/h with electricity consumption up to 2000 kW/h per month will be 2.64 UAH . We are talking about the tariff for consumers using electric heating installations.

— In addition, during the heating period (from October 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025), a preferential tariff is provided for consumers using electric heating installations at the level of 2.64 UAH/kWh (if they consume up to 2000 kWh of electricity during this period per month), — explained by the Ministry of Energy.

Such tariffs will be valid until April 30, 2025.

With an average monthly electricity consumption of 170 kW/h the payment for electricity will increase by 285 hryvnia.

– Raising the tariff is a difficult but necessary step. The goal is not to be left without light, to maintain the system. We are facing a large-scale reconstruction that requires enormous effort and resources. All this time, a repair campaign is underway at generation, distribution and transmission facilities. Unfortunately, we understand that shelling of energy facilities by the enemy will continue, and we must use all possible resources, — said Energy Minister German Galushchenko.

He noted that if Russia had not systematically destroyed Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, then tariffs would have remained unchanged for now.

The Minister noted that in a difficult economic situation due to the war, it is impossible to allow an increase in the price of electricity for the population to the market level (almost 7.5 UAH/kWh), but in these conditions the state does not has the ability to maintain ultra-low preferential prices for all consumers. After all, the electricity tariff of 2.64 UAH covered only a third of the real cost of electricity.
