British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak admitted that he the conservative party lost in the early parliamentary elections on July 4.

Sunak said that “Labour won this general election.”

“I called Keir Starmer to congratulate him on his victory. I am now heading to London, where I will tell you more about today's result before leaving the post of Prime Minister to whom I have given my all. And I take take responsibility for our loss,” he noted.

Now, according to formal procedure, Sunak will tender his resignation to the king, who will ask Starmer to form the next government.

5 July Starmer, after an audience with the British king, will become the new Prime Minister of Great Britain.
