The Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis earned 8.07 billion in the previous year and wants to pay a dividend of three francs per share to its shareholders. For 2021, the Basel-based company is predicting a low to mid-single-digit percentage increase in sales on Tuesday. The operating profit adjusted for special factors should grow by a mid-single-digit percentage and more strongly than sales. The forecasts apply to the exclusion of exchange rate fluctuations.
In 2020, sales were $ 48.66 billion, up 3 percent on a currency-neutral basis. Adjusted operating profit rose 13 percent to $ 15.42 billion. Novartis thus fulfilled its own specifications.
