Instagram has assigned the status of a deceased person to the Project's account. The staff of the publication faced a DDoS attack on the website and the blocking of a video on YouTube after an investigation into Kadyrov's wives.

The Internet edition “Project” is temporarily unable to post on the social network Instagram, since its account was assigned the status of a deceased person. The Project team announced this on Friday, April 30th. The team does not know on what basis this status was assigned, and turned to the Instagram administration to restore the functionality.
The Project's Instagram account has been assigned the status of a deceased person. Someone provided this social network with some confirmation of our death (how is this possible ?!). “This sur does not stop since the release of the investigation about the wives of Ramzan Kadyrov,” – noted in the “Project”. The publication emphasized that it had already encountered a DDoS attack on the site, blocking a video on YouTube and a complaint to TikTok.
The Project team expressed solidarity “with all those who have recently been persecuted by the authorities” and recalled the inclusion of Meduza in the register of “foreign media performing the functions of a foreign agent”, as well as the arrest of the head of the human rights project. Team 29 “Ivan Pavlov, who is on the defense side in a number of high-profile cases in Russia.
