Ecuadorian police have caught an alternative medicine clinic in administering tens of thousands of doses of a fake coronavirus vaccine. It is reported by the El Comercio edition.

The center offered patients injections of an unknown substance worth $ 15, promising immunity from COVID-19 after three injections. The authorities estimate that the clinic has received about 70 thousand vaccinations.

At the same time, the owners of the clinic themselves claimed that they were not selling vaccines, but “serums and vitamins” to strengthen immunity. The owner of the clinic said she had cured 20,000 patients.

There are several COVID-19 vaccines in the world. Thus, two vaccines are registered in Russia: Sputnik V and EpiVacCorona. On December 5, Moscow started vaccination against coronavirus with Sputnik V. The US also began inoculating the population with drugs from Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna. Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines have been approved in the UK.
