Every morning, the janitor Ludovic takes to the streets of the Châtelet-les-Halles in Paris, starts working and at the same time records short videos for TikTok.
This quarter is one of the most visited in Paris, which means that there is always a lot of garbage, which is not always left by passers-by in trash cans.
Ludovic shows subscribers how to sort garbage correctly and explains how plastic is harmful to nature.
“In the universe, the Earth is our only home, but we are destroying it,” writes Louis. “My videos are just a small contribution to protecting our planet.”
The 45-year-old garbage collector registered on social media a year ago. I bought a 15-centimeter tripod, I install my mobile phone on it and record video.
When asked why he began to shoot plots, the man replies simply: they say, he wanted to show how much harm a person causes to the surrounding nature.
– Look how much waste is left! – the janitor is indignant. – Tons of rubbish ranging from used masks to takeout packaging, not to mention cigarette butts, napkins, cans and plastic cups selling liters of water and tea. All this is mainly used by young people. I want to reach them first of all!
Louis does not hide the fact that the younger generation despises his occupation. But thanks to the popularity on TikTok, guys and girls are thinking about the importance of what this janitor does. At least in the comments under his video, they support the garbage collector and write him thanks. And some, if they recognize Louis on the street, join him and do their bit by cleaning up the garbage left by someone.
