Eco-activists block main thoroughfares of London during rush hour

Activists of the environmental movement Insulate Britain have blocked three main highways in London during the morning rush hour, RIA Novosti reports.

“About 50 people from Insulate Britain blocked three main routes in the capital this morning: the Blackwall Tunnel, Hanger Lane and Armos Grove,” the organization said.

Protesters accuse the government of inaction amid climate change.

This is not the first action by environmental activists to block transport in London. So, recently they have repeatedly blocked one of the main routes of the British capital A25. In total, about 300 protesters were arrested by the police. By a court decision, protests on highways are prohibited, the police intend to take tougher measures against violators.

Earlier in Mexico, environmental activists accused the authorities of conniving at the aggressive exploitation of water resources. In their opinion, this caused the formation of underground voids, which is why a hole more than 20 meters deep and 60 meters in diameter was formed on one of the farm fields, which quickly filled with water.
