RIA Novosti published a material in which a senior researcher at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Chernokulsky predicted a “return” to the Earth 35 million years ago. And all because of global warming.
So, according to the published data, at the moment the global temperature is increasing according to the worst-case scenario. This is due to greenhouse gas emissions. In this regard, in the coming years, the temperature may become equivalent to the indicator that was characteristic of the Earth 35 million years ago.
Chernokulsky noted that the global temperature is a climatic indicator, and its change will not contribute to the appearance of giant rhinos on the planet.
“ The whole system was different. There was completely different vegetation, a different location of the continents. There were not so many glaciers there, the ocean level was different, the chemical composition of the atmosphere was different, ”the expert shared.
