Zenit striker Artem Dziuba said that he was ready to go to reconciliation with the head coach of the Russian national football team Valery Karpin for the sake of returning to the national team. He is quoted by Mast TV.

“I don’t mind taking a step [towards Karpin], but I don’t want everyone to turn it against me. I don’t want to be extreme that all the dogs were hanged on me, ”the athlete shared. He noted that he is ready to return to the national team if undercover games disappear there. “When the national team wins, you are the soul of the team. And when Artyom Dziuba was no longer in the team, it turned out that he was spoiling the atmosphere, a clown, ”the forward wondered.

On December 15, Dziuba's possible return to the national team was assessed by the president of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Alexander Dyukov. According to him, the attacker needs to play well for Zenit, and then Karpin will be able to make a decision about calling the player.

On November 10, Karpin said that he had put an end to the question of not calling Dziuba into the team. He stressed that he does not intend to answer any more questions on this topic.

In September, Dziuba refused to be called up to the national team for the October qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup. The forward motivated this by the fact that he was in a form that was not optimal for this. This season, the 33-year-old striker has played 25 games for the blue-white-blue in all competitions, scored ten goals and provided seven assists.
