Durov unexpectedly left Facebook
The founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov has deleted his Facebook account.
Now, when you go to his page, a message appears: “This content is currently unavailable. The owner may have removed the content or restricted access to it. “
Durov has repeatedly criticized the social network, but few could expect a Russian to leave it without warning and a “farewell note.”
Earlier this year, the Russian reacted violently to the new privacy policy of the WhatsApp messenger, which is owned by Facebook. Many users around the world did not like the innovations – people began to switch to Telegram. As a result, the number of active users of the Russian messenger has exceeded 500 million per month.
Durov believes that the platform he created is better than the rest, since his team has protected user privacy throughout the entire time and has regularly improved the quality and feature set.
