15 years ago, a famous businessman became a sperm donor.
The founder of the social networks VK and Telegram, billionaire Pavel Durov, made an unexpected confession: it turns out that he is the biological father of more than 100 children in 12 countries peace.
He wrote about this on his social network.
The businessman said that 15 years ago his friend asked him to donate sperm at the clinic, since he and his wife could not have children due to fertility problems. At first, the businessman took it as a joke, but later realized that his friend was completely serious.
“The head of the clinic said that there was a shortage of high-quality donor material and that it was my civic duty to donate more sperm to help more couples anonymously. It sounded crazy enough to make me sign up to donate sperm,” he said.
Durov noted that this year it was revealed that his “charity work” helped more than a hundred couples in 12 countries have children. Moreover, even many years after he stopped being a donor, his frozen sperm is still available at one of the IVF clinics for anonymous use by families who want to have children.
“Now I plan to publish information about my DNA so that it will be easier for my biological children to find each other. Of course, there are risks, but I do not regret becoming a donor. The shortage of healthy sperm is becoming an increasingly serious problem all over the world, and I am proud to have contributed to its solution,” he said.
Recall that billionaire Pavel Durov said that he understands the Ukrainian language and continues to study it. He said that his mother's family comes from Ukraine.
