A woman has received the shock of her life after a “medical device” was found inside her more than 18 months after she had a caesarean section.

The strange discovery was made in New Zealand at Auckland City Hospital, and it was claimed that the woman was left with an Alexis retractor, about the size of a regular dinner plate.
The instrument is used to retract the edges of a wound caused during surgery, but is usually removed once the baby is removed.
The first one was not large enough, so the larger XL size was used instead.
However, it remained inside her abdomen, and the handling of the case has criticized the medical professionals involved.
She has gone to hospital several times over the past 18 months to report pain, but no one appears to have examined properly to find out what is causing it.
The report states: “As a result, the woman suffered from chronic abdominal pain until the device was accidentally discovered during a CT scan of the abdomen. It should be noted that A retractor is a round, soft, tubular instrument made of clear plastic attached to two rings—a large object, about the size of a dinner plate, usually removed after the uterine incision is closed and before the skin is sutured.”
Unnamed woman in her 20s years received an apology from the health commissioners.
Recall that a pensioner, due to a gynecological problem, stuffed a potato into her vagina and forgot about it. The vegetable has sprouted inside.
