Duda responded to Moscow with an abusive Polish proverb

by alex

Polish President Andrzej Duda commented on the hints from the Russian side that the military actions of the Russian army may not be limited to the territory of Ukraine.

— It may not be very correct, but there is such a proverb in Poland — obscene, true: “don't scare, don't scare… (otherwise “you'll get in your pants”), — he quoted.

Out loud, the President of Poland said only the censored part of the phrase.

— We want to live in peace. But we must be prepared for the fact that someone may want to attack us. I assure you, our fatherland is so vast that there will definitely be a place to bury such attackers, — assured the Polish president.

Duda also urged Moscow to stop bombing residential buildings that kill civilians.

Bombed Kyiv, he says, in places is very reminiscent of the Polish capital Warsaw in 1944. However, according to Duda, the ceasefire is more likely to play into the hands of the Russian army.

— They need time to regroup. If we were talking about a ceasefire, then it should be accompanied by the withdrawal of Russian troops. It is important for us that Russia break its teeth about Ukraine and in the future — before attacking someone else or Ukraine again — thought twice beforehand, — sure he is.

Earlier, Polish government speaker Piotr Muller said that Poland intends to present its proposal to introduce a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine at the NATO summit, as well as at a meeting of the European Council. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov responded by saying that sending peacekeepers to Ukraine could lead to a direct clash between Russia and NATO.
