The truth was announced by the head of the tourism destination in Ischgli, Thomas Kele. He looked at the video and noted that the video fragment showed a narrow and gentle section of one of the slopes, on which there were indeed sometimes crowds of people.
“However, I doubt that the video was shot recently, because last season footage from the same part of the descent was already distributed online. I think that the old video was published again to increase views” , says the specialist.
Moreover, the publications that mentioned this case did not focus on the nationality of the tourists, and assumptions about the skiers’ intoxication were unverified, notes StopFake.
