The incident occurred on the evening of February 9 on a section of the roadway of the island of Khortytsya.
It was established that schoolgirls crossed the road at an unregulated, but marked with markings and road signs.

Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules that caused serious bodily injury) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Immediately after the accident, two girls born in 2006 with severe polytraumas were hospitalized.
The 29-year-old driver IZH2717-90 was handed over to the doctors: they did not find signs of intoxication, but they established the fact of marijuana use.
Law enforcement officers are now communicating with the man, in the near future he will be informed of suspicion.
