On the night of January 19, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense organized another special operation on Russian territory with the help of Ukrainian drones. Drones attacked the Tambov powder plant and oil depot in Klintsy, Bryansk region.

This was reported by Ukrayinska Pravda’s interlocutor in the special services.

According to the source, the consequences of the attack on the gunpowder factory are being clarified, but in Klintsy there is “significant damage to a military facility.”

“Putin has concentrated the most electronic warfare and air defense systems in the Ukrainian occupied territories, military facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation will continue to be developed,” the interlocutor said.

What is known about the attack

In Bryansk region Russia, in Klinets, on January 19, after a drone attack, a fire started at a local oil depot.

The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced this on Telegram.

“The UAV was suppressed by electronic warfare equipment of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. During the destruction of an air target, ammunition was dropped on the territory of the Klintsovsk oil depot,” says the message from the regional governor.

He added that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties. Currently, fire and rescue crews of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Bryansk Region and the Bryansk Fire and Rescue Center are working at the scene of the incident. 13 fire tankers were involved in extinguishing the fire.

The oil depot is located in the city of Klintsy – approximately 180 km west of Bryansk and not far from the Ukrainian border. It belongs to the Bryansknefteprodukt company, part of the Rosneft corporation. This base was already attacked by a UAV in May 2023. Then, according to the regional authorities, the ammunition partially damaged the concrete base and the finishing tank for storing petroleum products; no one was injured.
