Explosions thundered in the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation at night. The FKP plant named after Ya. M. Sverdlov, which is part of the Russian military-industrial complex, was hit.
This was reported by the Russian publication Astra.
According to the data, the explosions were heard both in Dzerzhinsk and in the regional center, Nizhny Novgorod, at about 4:30 a.m. local time. There are also reports of prolonged shooting associated with air defense actions – the Russian military was trying to shoot down drones in the air.
Local residents claim that the target of the attack was the Ya. M. Sverdlov plant.
This plant is known as one of the largest manufacturers of industrial explosives and shells for various industries, including aviation and artillery ammunition, as well as air defense missiles.
Recall that earlier UAVs attacked an ammunition train in the Voronezh region, so the authorities had to evacuate two villages.
