It is noted that during the test flight, the drone successfully extended the hose and pumped fuel into the aircraft of the American naval forces F / A-18 Super Hornet.
– Thus, he showed that this unit is completely ready to fulfill its main goal – to carry out refueling in the air. The MQ-25 Stingray program aims to develop unmanned capabilities for landing on aircraft carriers, refueling other aircraft, and providing some reconnaissance and data collection capabilities. Three years ago, the United States Navy Air Systems Command awarded Boeing a $ 805.3 million contract for the design, development, production, testing, delivery and technical support of the MQ-25 drones.
