A drifting mine was found near the Bosphorus, so the Turkish authorities had to close the passage through the strait.

An unknown object was reported by a civilian ship sailing through the Bosporus. Eyewitnesses also took a photo of the mine from the shore.
Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that the discovered mine was of an old type. She was taken to a safe place and neutralized.
The minister also said that Turkey had held talks on the incident with both the Russian and Ukrainian sides. Consultations will continue.
Recall that earlier it became known that Russia was replacing sections of the Black Sea from the Bosporus to Odessa, saying that Ukrainians had carried out the mining.
