Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov called a “male” symptom that may indicate the presence of cancer. This is reported by Channel Five.
According to the doctor, a low level of hemoglobin in the body can indicate different diseases in men and women. So, Myasnikov explained that if women have iron deficiency anemia with natural blood loss due to menstruation, then in men this symptom may indicate serious illnesses.
The specialist noted that a decrease in hemoglobin may indicate a lesion of the gastrointestinal tract, because, according to him, it is in this part of the body that there is an externally unnoticeable blood loss. The doctor advised men with anemia to consult a doctor and undergo colonoscopy and gastroscopy to exclude ulcers, polyps and even cancer.
Earlier, Myasnikov on the air of the program “About the most important thing” called a common mistake that people make when measuring blood pressure. He stressed that it is impossible to cross your legs during the measurement, otherwise the pressure may rise to ten millimeters of mercury.
