The People's Militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) accused the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) of mining roads on the demarcation line in Donbass, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the militia, the Ukrainian military, in violation of the ceasefire agreement, planted 12 anti-tank mines on the road in the vicinity of the village of Pishchevik. Another 12 explosive devices were placed across the highway at the exit from the village of Shirokino. Representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not yet commented on these accusations.
Earlier, representatives of the armed forces of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) reported the death of a Ukrainian soldier who mined positions in the area of the village of Mironovsky on the territory not controlled by Kiev. They stressed that Kiev is hiding this fact from the public.
In 2014, part of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions declared independence after the change of the central government in Kiev. Ukraine tried to return them by force and accused Russia of occupying the region. Moscow rejects the claim.
