In the Kiev region, police found the body of a 23-year-old girl from Transcarpathia, who disappeared at the end of November. She was dismembered, burned and buried in the forest.
The girl's disappearance was reported to the police by her mother. It turned out that a 23-year-old Transcarpathian woman, together with her two-year-old son, secretly decided to visit a friend from the Kiev region. Law enforcement officers do not mention which settlement they are talking about.
What happened the day before
During the investigation, it was established that the girl died on the night of 21 on November 22. The exact cause of death will be determined based on the results of the forensic examination, but the police have already detained the main suspect in the case.
It turned out to be a 25-year-old man, to whom the girl came to visit with the child. He admitted that the company had another common acquaintance with them: that evening everyone was using drugs.
The suspect admitted that together with a friend, they made a plan on how to get rid of the body of the deceased. They bought a chemical substance and a lot of coal, wrapped the body in a carpet and took it to a nearby forest.
There they dismembered and set fire to the girl's body, then doused it with an unidentified substance and buried it.

What happened to the child
It is not yet known whether the two-year-old boy witnessed the murder of his mother. However, in order to hide all the evidence, the suspect's girlfriend took the child to Uzhgorod on her own.
She found a rented apartment where the deceased lived: there she left the boy alone. With the victim's phone in her hands, the suspect wrote a message to the child's father to take his son to him.
As of December 7, it is known that the accomplice of the main suspect managed to escape and is now outside the country.

During searches in the house of a 25-year-old man, law enforcement officers found not only the torn passport of the deceased and the remains of her body, but also marijuana and amphetamine.
Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal possession of narcotic drugs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation does not exclude that after the completion of all examinations, another proceeding will be opened – under Part 1 of Art. 115 (Premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the man is in a pre-trial detention center: a preventive measure was chosen for him with the possibility of paying a bail in the amount of more than 1 million hryvnias. The pre-trial investigation continues.
