Don't panic: Samsung commented on the ban on the sale of its smartphones in Russia

On the eve it became known that the Moscow Arbitration Court banned Samsung from selling a number of its smartphones in Russia. This caused panic among many of the brand's domestic fans.

But the representatives of the South Korean giant quickly caught on and tried to calm their audience. Samsung's spokesperson said the company “does not plan to change operating activities.”

The IT giant also clarified that at the moment the court decision is at the stage of appeal and has not entered into force. This means that the brand's smartphones will continue to be sold in stores and through websites as before.

As a reminder, in July 2021, Sqwin SA filed a lawsuit against Samsung for allegedly infringing a payment service patent. Despite the fact that the claim primarily concerned Samsung Pay, the Russian court also banned Samsung from selling 61 models of smartphones in the country.
