In the fall of 2021, an unusual quest room will appear in Moscow, where visitors will be told about free blood donation. The duration of each game will be at least an hour. During this time, it is planned to talk about the stages of collecting blood and its components, transfusion and treatment of various diseases.
As planned by the organizers, after completing the quest, participants will have to understand how complicated the process of preparing donor material is, and realize that blood is needed all the time. After all, 70% of the components go specifically to planned treatment, and not to help victims in various accidents and disasters, as is commonly believed. And in the case of some patients, the time lag can be critical. During the quest, participants will be able to influence the lives of those in need and see the consequences of their decisions.
“We are convinced that the donation of blood and its components should become a year-round standard of life for every healthy person, and we try to convey this idea to people in a variety of formats. Moreover, people from all over Russia come to Moscow for treatment, – says Elena Stefanyuk, director of the National Fund for Health Development, Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Blood Donation at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
The mode of operation of the quest room will depend on the epidemiological situation in Moscow. At least 800 people will be able to take part in the autumn event. Perhaps, the passability will have to be limited, but on the other hand, everyone will definitely have access to a free game in an online avatar-quest format for a team of 3-5 players.
The events are held within the framework of the social project “Donation out of season. Development of regular blood donation in the capital ”of the National Fund for Healthcare Development with the support of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of the city of Moscow.
