The Tesla founder thinks it's “great” that the SEC wants to investigate his tweets about the Dogecoin cryptocurrency.
Tweets from the Tesla founder may have contributed to the fun cryptocurrency Dogecoin soaring. According to the financial news service First Squawk, the short messages Musks are also said to have called the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the scene.
Elon Musk doesn't seem to mind. On Twitter he responded moodily to a post about the investigation, “I hope you do! It would be great.” Musk also posted two “face with tears of joy” emojis.
I hope they do! It would be awesome 🤣🤣

However, it is unclear whether the SEC is actually investigating the Musk tweets. An official statement from the authority has not yet been issued. According to Teslarati, the stock exchange regulator also did not comment on the corresponding report by the financial intelligence service.
However, it wouldn't be the first time Musk's tweets have been targeted by the agency. The SEC is already investigating Musk's announcement that he wants to take Tesla off the stock exchange. Tesla therefore had to pay $ 20 million and Musk suspended his position as chairman for three years.
Musk's tweets have repeatedly had an impact on the prices of stocks and cryptocurrencies.
