Women with dogs attacked two Muslim women in headscarves walking near the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This is reported by the L'alsace edition.
The attack took place on Sunday evening, October 18, but the police refused to publish the statement until Tuesday, October 20. This circumstance caused a wave of indignation on the Internet.
The two unrevealed Algerian victims were walking with their family: there were five adults and four children in total. At this time, two dogs ran up to them, which were unhooked by women of European appearance walking behind.
Muslim women asked to tie the pets to a leash, explaining that the children were scared. However, the strangers got angry and attacked the women with knives, shouting to them: “Go back to your country, dirty Arabs.” During the attack, two passers-by arrived to help and managed to restrain one of the criminals until the police arrived. A second suspect was arrested shortly thereafter.
One of the victims was stabbed six times. As a result, her lung was punctured and her hands were so badly wounded that surgery was required. Both women are still in the hospital, but their lives are no longer in danger.
