Doesn’t trust everyone: what changes could happen in Putin’s government

by alex

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is famous for his careless attitude towards the Russian constitution and plans to rule “forever.” Meanwhile, leading clans and Russian politicians are fighting for their power and trying to please the head of the Kremlin.

Russian oppositionist, political analyst Olga Kurnosova told 24 Channel, what changes may occur in Putin's government. Putin plans to balance the power of clans, but there is one clan to which he is especially favorable.

No changes concern politics

According to the Russian oppositionist, there are personnel changes in Russia, but they are not political. There can be no political changes, because Vladimir Putin does not adhere to the Russian constitution in any way. Moreover, Patriarch Kirill, when he held a prayer service in the Annunciation Cathedral of the Kremlin, where only “selected” people could enter, wished the Russian dictator “to rule until the end of the century.”

That is why there is no point in expecting any change in policy while Putin is in power,” Kurnosova noted.

Who does Putin trust

Putin’s goal, according to Russian oppositionist, is balancing the clans. Most likely, Boris Kovalchuk, the son of Yuri Kovalchuk, will head the Accounts Chamber of Russia. That is, the younger generation of Russian clans are gradually building a career for themselves.

On the one hand, this is like an announcement of “rejuvenation” , but all the same, all issues will be decided by senior representatives of the clans,” added Kurnosova.

For quite a long time, Alexey Kudrin was the head of the Accounts Chamber of Russia. He had liberal views, but Putin trusted him. Now that Russia has practically no relations with the West, Russia does not need people who could negotiate with it to keep it in power. However, the appointment of Boris Kovalchuk to the post of chairman of the Accounts Chamber is a rather dangerous decision. the grid of those who do not suit them. If they (the Kovalchuk clan – Channel 24) can reinforce (the government – Channel 24) with their people from the security forces, then the Kovalchuks will increase control over everything,” Kurnosova explained.

The Russian dictator trusts the Kovalchuk clan, because it is likely that the Russian Central Bank, which was founded by Yuri Kovalchuk, financed some of Putin's espionage activities.

Other possible changes

It is worth noting that Putin is already tired of politics and communicates less frequently with clan representatives. Someone manages to “break through”, for example, Sergei Chemezov, who achieved the arrest of Timur Ivanov.

Everyone will get there and to Gennady Timchenko (member of Putin’s clan – Channel 24), who will “steam Putin in a bathhouse” and something “good” will happen to Shoigu, commented Kurnosova.

There also remains an intrigue about what will happen to Alexei Dyumin, the governor of the Tula region. who, it seems, was supposed to replace Sergei Shoigu as Minister of Defense. According to the Russian oppositionist, he can become the new Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia instead of Vladimir Kolokoltsev. Close to Dyumin is the Russian general Viktor Zolotov.

If Dyumin becomes Minister of Internal Affairs, this will be a strengthening of Zolotov. Therefore, it is possible that there will be such a combination,” Kurnosova noted.

Personnel changes in the Kremlin: the latest news

  • The Russian dictator proposed that the civilian Andrei Belousov take the post of Defense Minister instead of the military Sergei Shoigu. Dmitry Peskov responded to such a proposal and stated that, they say, it is necessary to introduce innovations and be open to advanced ideas.
  • The Institute for the Study of War explained that such personnel changes may indicate preparing Russia for a protracted war. These changes indicate a desire to strengthen the Russian defense and economic system in the context of the war in Ukraine.
