Doctor named pancreas-killing habits
Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov spoke about the causes of inflammation of the pancreas. According to him, acute pancreatitis causes alcohol abuse, RIA Novosti reports.
The doctor noted that with the necrosis of a part of the pancreas, multiple organ failure develops – in patients the kidneys stop working, the heart and lungs fail. At the same time, the consumption of 200 grams of strong alcohol five times a week can lead to chronic pancreatitis.
Another common cause of the disease is smoking, which causes not so much acute as chronic pancreatitis.
“Those who regularly drink and still smoke, they often have pancreatitis, and in a dose-dependent proportion,” the doctor explained.
Also, cholelithiasis, viral infections, genetic predisposition, elevated triglyceride levels, and certain medications can also harm the pancreas.
Earlier, the Russian nutritionist Svetlana Fus explained to whom it is contraindicated to drink green tea. According to her, the drink can cause serious harm to health.
