Alexander Myasnikov
Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov spoke on the air of the Russia 1 channel about the paradoxes of the coronavirus. Unexplained facts about COVID-19, he named in the program “On the Most Important”, the release of which is available on YouTube.
The TV presenter said that the source of most cases of infection is a small group of people (20 percent) – the so-called super-distributors. “It’s not very clear why it’s like this. Maybe they are genetically predisposed. Why do they have such a viral load? Why don't they get very sick themselves? ” – he said. Myasnikov noted that it is difficult to identify them: a person may not even suspect that he is in contact with a super-distributor.
The doctor also said that people with the first blood group are less likely to get sick with COVID-19, since they have genetic protection. Another paradox, according to Myasnikov, is associated with antibodies. “We still don't know what is more important – the presence of antibodies or memory cells,” he stressed. The doctor explained that antibodies cannot circulate throughout the body forever, instead of them there are memory cells that give the command to produce antibodies when the body encounters an infection again. At the same time, the doctor clarified that memory cells usually live from six to ten months.
In addition, Myasnikov said that the PCR test does not show whether there is a virus in the body. “The test shows whether you have a virus on this fleece that was stuck in your nose. <...> There are a lot of accidents, “the doctor stated. Therefore, the TV presenter specified, in seriously ill patients, tests are taken from the bronchi.
Earlier, Myasnikov told how to prevent the emergence of a common disease among the elderly – osteoporosis. The TV presenter noted that women in the “menopausal age” usually suffer from it.
