In a forest belt in New Moscow, in the Russian Federation, law enforcement officers found the body of “Miss Kuzbass-2010” Ksenia Sapozhkova, whose murder is suspected of her husband – Alexander Popov, a top manager of the Moscow metro.

According to reports, the former head of the Central Novokuznetsk district, Alexander Popov, wrote a statement on the disappearance of his wife on January 11. According to him, as RosSMI writes, last summer, Ksenia, leaving him and her daughter, they say, flew to Dubai for a vacation, and then went to South Africa. When the connection with her was cut off, Popov said that he started looking for a woman.
However, the investigation found out that Ksenia did not cross the border of Russia, and the man had her phone. According to RosSMI, for months Popov himself blogged his wife from her phone. He wrote posts on behalf of Xenia, from which it was clear that she was traveling and enjoying life.
The man also responded to messages from friends, relatives and comments from subscribers. Ksenia had few friends, no colleagues. After giving birth, she was a housewife and engaged in raising her daughter.
First, according to media reports, Popov confessed to the murder of his wife, whose body he dismembered. According to the testimony, he put the remains in black garbage bags and took them out of the apartment, after which he tied stones to the bags and threw them into the river. However, then he began to deny guilt and used Article 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which allows not to testify against himself.
According to RosSMI, the couple quarreled and the man killed and dismembered his wife during the quarrel. A friend of the victim said that Sapozhkova was not from a rich family. The girl was raised by her stepfather because her parents were divorced.
It turned out that Popov had a child from his first marriage, but Ksenia was not embarrassed. According to her friend, the girl always knew how to stand up for herself and knew her own worth.
The Moscow court arrested Popov for two months. The investigation is ongoing.
