The BT-3F armored personnel carrier of the High-Precision Complexes holding was presented by the State Corporation in the Arctic version.
Initially, the vehicle was intended to arm the Marine Corps. Now the BT-3F has received several improvements that make it suitable for use in the Arctic.
The vehicle has an armored hull, a four-stroke UTD-29 diesel engine with a capacity of 450 hp. An armored personnel carrier can reach speeds of up to 70 km / h on the highway, 20 km / h when moving backward, and 10 km / h afloat. In general, the car is capable of swimming in waves of up to three points. The total combat weight is 18.9 tons.
At first, the vehicle was armed with a 7.62 mm machine gun. Then a 6P49 “Kord” of 12.7 mm caliber was installed in the remote-controlled module. It can destroy ground targets at a distance of two kilometers, and air targets at a distance of 1.5 kilometers. BT-3F is equipped with tele-thermal imaging cameras, laser rangefinder and automatic target tracking.
Serial production of new items will begin at the end of 2021.
