In the Volyn region, a 53-year-old man appeared before the court, who, while drunk, accidentally killed his colleague. He will spend the next six years in prison.
The incident occurred at the end of December 2020 in the village of Shklin near Lutsk. Together, the men were at one of the private enterprises when a conflict arose between them.
An angry janitor sent a jet of water from a high-pressure apparatus straight into his opponent's face.
As a result, he fatally injured the throat of a 42-year-old man: he died on the spot from his injury.
During the investigation, the defendant told in detail what happened that day: according to him, he wanted to “put in place” a colleague, but not kill him.
Considering this and a number of other established facts, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Art. 121 (Severe bodily injury resulting in the death of the victim) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The court found the man guilty and sentenced him to six years in prison.
