Tourists in the Murmansk region.
A digital tourist guide for the region has been developed in the Murmansk region. The new product – a dedicated portal and application for smartphones – will be operational starting today, June 7th.
“In order for a person who comes to the Murmansk region to find it convenient to navigate: where to go, what to see, how to plot a route, to assess the service or the service that was provided,” said Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis today at the operational meeting in the government of the region.
According to him, the service has already included more than 400 regional objects and attractions, almost 200 excursions, 32 tour operators have become its participants.
The Murmansk region attracts tourists with the northern lights, and the most visited places are the villages of Teriberka and Khibiny. New summer programs have been developed for residents of megalopolises in the region, including picking mushrooms and wild plants. The authorities of the Murmansk region set the task to bring the tourist flow to the region by 2025 to 557.4 thousand people per year (at the end of 2019 it amounted to 451 thousand people).
Earlier, “DP” also wrote that they intend to launch a regional tourist aggregator in 2021 in the Kaliningrad region.
