The death of the first deputy scientific supervisor for advanced developments of RFNC-VNIIEF was reported in the state corporation “Rosatom”. Likhachev noted that Yuri Trutnev worked successfully until the last days of his life, his name “is forever inscribed in the history of atomic science”, and in the memory of everyone who knew him, he will remain “as a bright and original scientist, a tireless researcher, a man of high moral principles. and state thinking ”.

Yuri Alekseevich Trutnev – Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor of the Department of Theoretical Physics at MEPhI, one of the leading experts in the creation of nuclear and thermonuclear charges. Born on November 2, 1927 in Moscow, in the family of Aleksey Grigorievich Trutnev, a Soviet scientist in the field of soil science and agricultural chemistry.
