On Friday, August 6, at the 94th year, Yuri Trutnev, an outstanding Soviet and Russian physicist, doctor of technical sciences, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), died. The death of the first deputy scientific supervisor for advanced developments of RFNC-VNIIEF was reported in the state corporation “Rosatom”. The general director of the corporation, Alexei Likhachev, expressed condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the scientist.

Likhachev noted that Yuri Trutnev worked successfully until the last days of his life, his name “is forever inscribed in the history of atomic science”, and in the memory of everyone who knew him, he will remain “as a bright and original scientist, a tireless researcher, a man of high moral principles. and state thinking ”.
