German Chancellor Olaf Scholz secretly and unexpectedly arrived in Kyiv. In Ukraine, he will announce a large military aid package, but without the desired cruise missiles that Ukraine wants.

According to the publication, Scholz brought with him a promise: “I would like to make it clear that Germany will remain the strongest fan of Ukraine in Europe.”
The German Chancellor will announce that Berlin will supply Kiev with weapons worth 650 million euros.
“Ukraine can rely on Germany: we say what we do. And we do what we say,” he said he.
But the Taurus cruise missile that Kiev wants, which can reach Moscow, is not on the list of weapons that Scholz promised Ukraine in December.
“Therefore, a hard “no” remains. The Chancellor believes that this is too dangerous. Scholz believes that if Ukraine launched the German Taurus deep into Russia, the war could expand,” the publication writes.
