Gosens
The German team player Robin Gosens is threatened with an injury break. In Atalanta Bergamo's 1-0 win against Young Boys, he had to leave the field.
In the Champions League duel on matchday two, the 27-year-old German was injured in the eleventh minute from a tackle without outside interference. After the tackle, Gosens, who had only been appointed to the German team squad by Hansi Flick on Monday, held his right knee.
The left-back had to be replaced after a break in treatment and then snuck off the field. Two supervisors had to support the German. Everything points to a serious knee injury. Initial investigations are still ongoing.
In the Group F duel, Matteo Pessina shot the Italians 1-0 in the front in the 68th minute, sliding a Stangl pass from Duvan Zapata over the line. The alleged opening goal by Rafael Toloi did not count in the 18th minute after an offside position.
Against the completely harmless Swiss in the second round, Luis Muriel (78th, 90th) and Zapata missed a clearer victory with their heads (82nd).
In St. Petersburg, Zenit left nothing to be desired, celebrating a clear 4-0 win over Malmö. Claudinho had already brought the Russians 1-0 up in the ninth minute, Daler Kuzyaev made it 2-0 in the 49th minute. Immediately afterwards, Malmö defender Anel Ahmedhodzic saw the red card after an emergency brake.
In numerical superiority, Zenit didn't let anything burn, Aleksey Sutormin (80th) and Wendel fixed the 4-0 final score in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
In the parallel game of Group H, Chelsea and Juventus meet.
