The talks between Russia and the United States on Ukraine and arms control will take place on January 10. Such details became known to RIA Novosti.
“The United States and Russia will hold talks on arms control and Ukraine on January 10,” the agency said.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Washington and Moscow agree to use three tracks of negotiations. Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko added that in addition to this, the Russian side is working on the timing and format of the Russia-NATO Council meeting.
On December 17, the Russian Foreign Ministry published draft agreements with NATO and Washington on security guarantees, which were transferred to the American side during the visit of US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried to Moscow.
In the documents, in particular, Moscow called on NATO members to abandon further expansion to the East and conduct any military activity on the territory of Ukraine and other states of Eastern Europe, Transcaucasia and Central Asia.
