Immediately two sources familiar with the situation told RIA Novosti about fresh details regarding the first full-fledged stealth ship created in Russia.
The project of the corvette 20386 bears the name “Mercury” and, according to the publication, it will have to be completely built according to the concept of “stealth”. Previously, such devices were not produced in our country.
Also, insiders noted that earlier, only certain elements of stealth technology were used in Russian ships. And until now, engineers have not implemented the concept of an unobtrusive ship.
It is reported that the project designers have conceived to add to the “100-meter ship” the ability to reflect the radio signal at the level of a small boat. This should be helped by a radio-absorbing coating throughout the entire area of the facility, as well as a special shape of the superstructure with innovative materials and paints.
