As a result of the accident, a children's ensemble from Lviv was injured.

On July 6, a bus carrying a Ukrainian children's dance ensemble was involved in an accident in Hungary. The driver lost control, the bus skidded into a ditch and overturned. 21 people were injured, four of whom were in serious condition. There were no fatalities.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Nyíregyháza (Hungary) reported this on Facebook.

“Today, July 6, 2025, at about 5 a.m., a bus carrying Ukrainian children drove off the road and overturned on its side under unknown circumstances on the 442 highway between Kunszentmárton and Tiszaföldvár (Hungary). According to Hungarian emergency services, rescue operations are ongoing at the scene,” the statement said.

The bus, which was carrying 77 people – two drivers, participants and accompanying persons of the ensemble from Lviv, was heading to the festival in the city of Ohrid. The injured were taken to hospitals in the cities of Szolnok, Kecskemét and Szentes. Of the injured, four were seriously injured, four more children were moderately injured and will be discharged under the care of their accompanying persons. The rest were slightly injured and are in the House of Culture in Kunszentmárton, where they were provided with food and rest.

The carrier is reportedly organizing additional buses for the onward journey. Rescuers are working on site, as well as Ukrainian Ambassador Fedir Shandor and consular officials, who are monitoring the situation and helping the victims.

Let us recall that earlier we wrote about a bus with Ukrainian lyceum students and adults overturning on the highway in France. Four adults died, many were injured, including teenagers. The injured were provided with food and medical care.
