“112”: the killers of a 5-year-old girl in Kostroma were in a relationship and did not plan to kidnap

Denis Gerasimov and Vadim Belyakov, detained for the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kostroma, did not plan to kidnap the child. They revealed the details of the crime during interrogation, Telegram channel 112 reports.
Gerasimov and Belyakov saw five-year-old Veronica Nikolaeva on the street next to the cultural center where her mother works as a cleaner. Belyakov suggested to his accomplice to catch the child and make fun of him. Nikolaeva resisted the abduction, shouted, but passers-by did not pay attention to what was happening.
It is noted that the 44-year-old Gerasimov and 24-year-old Belyakov, detained for the murder of Nikolayeva, have been in a relationship since 2012, when the latter was 15 years old. Gerasimov, who turned out to be a pedophile-recidivist, was prosecuted for making an intimate video with a minor Belyakov.
The crime was reported earlier. The girl's body was found in one of the city's hostels. The suspects confessed to the crime. A criminal case was opened against the abductors under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder of a minor”), and its investigation is ongoing.
